I'm partnered with a PE-backed Renewable Energy firm recruiting an Interim Director of Project Financing to spearhead complex project financing initiatives as they enter a critical phase of expansion. This role will be instrumental in structuring, negotiating, and securing financing for key infrastructure projects, ensuring optimal capital deployment and aligning funding structures with long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project financing efforts, structuring of debt solutions to support major infrastructure developments.
- Drive negotiations with lenders and investors, securing competitive terms aligned with the company's long-term financial strategy.
- Oversee pre-investment due diligence, ensuring a comprehensive risk assessment and financial validation for project funding.
- Manage relationships with institutional lenders, private equity investors, and development finance institutions, ensuring seamless execution of financing transactions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including corporate finance, legal, and operational teams, to optimize capital structuring and funding strategies.
- Support corporate development initiatives, identifying and evaluating strategic financing opportunities to fuel growth.
About You:
- 8-10 years' experience in Project Finance, Structured Finance, or Investment Banking, ideally within Infrastructure, Energy, or Capital-Intensive industries.
- Strong financial modelling, valuation, and structuring expertise, with hands-on experience in debt financing transactions.
- Proven track record in securing and executing complex financing deals, including experience negotiating term sheets and managing due diligence.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders (C-suite, PE sponsors, institutional lenders) to drive deal execution.
Remuneration & Working Pattern:
- Day Rate: Up to £1,500PD (Outside IR35).
- Bonus: Completion bonus available, linked to successful financing milestones.
- Location: London-based (2-3 days per week).
