Cedar is supporting a key Public Sector client, who are a Local Authority based in Central London, who are looking to hire an Interim Procurement Project Manager for a key programme of work covering Housing. This role is offering a day rate up to Β£600 per day (INSIDE IR35) and contract duration is on an initial 6-month basis but has the potential to run for up to 18 months in total. This role will operate on a hybrid working basis with the expectation to on-site 1 day per week.

This role is an urgent requirement meaning our client would ideally like someone who can start in August 2026. The successful candidate will work alongside internal permanent Commercial and Legal resource and key external suppliers to ensure compliance, value for money and delivery of a Competitive Flexible procurement procedure that meet the timescales that are currently set on this key Housing procurement project.

The successful candidate will ensure effective advice and challenges are provided to key stakeholders throughout the duration of the engagement. Some key areas this Housing project will include cover; Mechanical, Electrical and Heating (c5 workstreams in total). Candidates applying MUST HAVE:

  • Strong experience working in a similar role in the UK Public Sector Procurement marketplace i.e. a role in Procurement, Commercial, Category or Contract Management
  • Strong experience managing internal and external stakeholders - ideally confidence and experience acting as a 'Business Partner'
  • Experience managing high value procurement projects relating to Housing - experience in Mechanical, Electrical and/or Heating is required
  • Completion of PA23 training is required for this role AMRT1_UKTJ ...
