A leading organisation in the healthcare sector is seeking a highly experienced Head of Transactional Finance to oversee and lead its Credit Control and Sales Ledger functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of invoicing, debt recovery and cash flow processes, while driving continuous improvement across the transactional finance function. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and a proven track record in stakeholder management and process optimisation. This is a critical role for a commercially driven finance professional with experience in managing complex, multi-site operations and delivering robust financial controls.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Credit Control and Sales Ledger teams, ensuring timely invoicing and efficient cash collection.
- Oversee the full billing cycle, including invoicing to NHS bodies, local authorities, and private funders.
- Monitor and manage aged debt, identifying risks and implementing resolution strategies to maintain strong cash flow.
- Develop and enforce effective credit control policies and procedures to minimise bad debt.
- Provide timely, insightful reporting on debt position, cash flow, and key financial performance metrics to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with commercial and operational departments to resolve billing disputes and improve work flows.
