Hybrid working, 2 days per week in the office

Looking for ACA qualified candidates from practice for a newly created Financial Accountant role within a PE-backed, fast-growing technology business experiencing significant acquisition-led growth. Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, this role offers broad exposure across financial reporting, technical accounting, audit, tax and business partnering within a 30-person finance team.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Ownership of month-end close and full P&L reporting for subsidiaries
  • Preparation of board reporting packs with variance analysis and commentary
  • Statutory accounts preparation under FRS102
  • Coordination of external audit requirements and responses
  • Support on corporate tax processes with external advisors (EY)
  • Contribution to technical accounting and policy development
  • Ownership and improvement of staff capitalisation processes (R&D/capitalised labour)
  • Business partnering with FP&A, engineering and wider commercial teams
  • Involvement in process improvement and finance automation, including AI adoption
Candidate profile:
  • Newly qualified ACA, trained in practice (essential)
  • Strong audit background with exposure to statutory accounts preparation
  • Knowledge of VAT, corporate tax and/or R&D processes desirable
  • Strong technical accounting foundation with commercial awareness
  • Interest in automation, process improvement and AI-enabled finance
