Cash Allocation Administrator
Location: Borehamwood (Hybrid, 3 days in the office / 2 days from home)
Salary: £25,000 per annum + Benefits
We\’re representing a leading organisation in the healthcare sector that is seeking a Cash Allocation Administrator to join their growing finance team based in Borehamwood.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in accounts receivable or cash allocation to join a dynamic business and play a key role in maintaining accurate ledgers and supporting cash flow management.
The Role
- Accurately allocate incoming payments (BACS, CHAPS, cheques, direct debits, etc.) to customer accounts
- Investigate and resolve unallocated or misapplied payments promptly
- Work closely with accounts receivable specialists to resolve payment discrepancies
- Perform account reconciliations and process refunds or adjustments when necessary
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to cash allocation
- Provide documentation for audits and assist with related queries
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash allocation
About You
- Previous experience in an Finance Administrator, Accounts Receivable or Cash Allocation role
- Strong understanding of cash allocation and reconciliation processes
- Experience working with financial systems such as Unit4, SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and the order-to-cash process
- High attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organisational skills
- Confident communicator with strong problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
