The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit the following staff member: Job Ref: 26-031-TL-K-WEB Job Role: Team Leader Salary: Β£14.18 per hour Location: The Karuna Home 3-5 Minorca Dr, Carrickfergus BT38 8WP Contract: Permanent Hours: 28-hours/week (Day/Night shifts including, weekends/Bank-Holidays) (Flexibility is required to work within the rota system in order to meet the needs of the residents, the service and statutory regulation and availability to work evenings and weekends as required) The Service: The Karuna Home provides residential care for up to ten adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated conditions aged 18 or over. Karuna aims to provide high standard accommodation and care for our residents in a purpose-built accommodation. Karuna is located in Carrickfergus town centre close to local amenities. The Role: As part of the Living Options services, the Team Leader will be a part of the management team and will support the Registered Manager to meet the Domiciliary Care Agencies Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2007 and the DHSS&PS Domiciliary Care Agency Minimum Standards. They will: Ensure that NIHE \”Supporting People\” contractual requirements and standards are met and maintained. Support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care/support plans and individual risk assessments to meet individual needs. Support the Registered Manager to ensure the delivery of quality care and support. Support with the management budgets and resources. Mentor and supervise the Support Team. Team Leaders must be available to work flexibly and be available to work unsociable-hours and public-holidays on a rotational-basis. Benefits: Annual Leave 6.4 weeks days pro-rata in each leave year (including statutory days). This increases to 7.4 weeks after 5-years\’ service and 7.8 weeks after 10-years\’ service. Annual incremental pay increases on agreed salary scale. Auto-enrolment pension scheme, 5% employee contribution and 4% employer contribution. Occupational Sick Pay that increases with service, up to 6 months full pay and 6 months half pay after 5 years. Free car parking as well as tea and coffee. Paid annual NISCC registration fees (Cost reimbursed by Cedar). A minimum of RQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a health & social care or related discipline AND at least 2 years\’ experience in a social care setting providing support/care OR A minimum of GCSE English & Maths (A* – C) or equivalent AND at least 3 years\’ experience in a regulated care or support environment. 2.Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities. 3. Effective communication and experience of IT systems (e.g. digital record keeping).
