Location: Croft Communities, 71 Bloomfield Road, Bangor, BT20 4UR

Salary: £14.18 per hour

Hours: 36 & 24 hour contracts available

Croft Communities Residential Services in Bangor Co. Down is a residential home registered with RQIA to provide services for 9 adults with learning disabilities and associated complex needs, as well as a 7-bedded respite unit. The unit allows adults to stay for breaks, giving main carers time to refresh and continue their caring role.

As part of the caring team, you will help create and maintain a safe environment where the personal care and social needs of the residents are fulfilled. The Team Leader will support the Registered Manager to develop and implement personalised care plans and individual risk assessments, ensuring the delivery of quality, person-centred care. You will also promote a team approach, maintain positive working relationships, manage budgets and resources effectively, and mentor and supervise the care assistants. Team leaders must be available to work flexibly, including unsociable hours and public holidays on a rotational basis.

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum RQF Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in health & social care or related discipline AND at least 2 years' experience in a social care setting; OR Minimum GCSE English & Maths (A*-C) or equivalent AND at least 3 years' experience in a regulated care or support environment.
  • Working knowledge of the needs of people with learning disabilities.
  • Effective communication and experience with IT systems (e.g., digital record keeping).
