The Cedar Foundation is seeking to recruit a Care Assistant for Twisel Lodge, located at 19A Church Ave, Holywood, BT18 9BJ.

Salary: £13.45 per hour

Hours: 36 hours per week - 3 x 12 hour shifts. Flexibility is required to work within the rota system to meet the needs of the residents, the service, and statutory regulation, including availability to work evenings and weekends as required.

The Service: Twisel Lodge is a residential home registered with RQIA to provide services for 8 adults who have Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs. For most of our residents, Twisel Lodge is their home; however, we also provide a respite facility for adults with learning disabilities to stay with us for a break.

The Role: As part of the caring team, you will help create and maintain a caring and safe environment where the personal care and social needs of the residents are fulfilled.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of 6 months caring experience (paid employment or personal caring responsibilities).
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including numeracy skills.
  • Interest in working with people in a care environment.
  • Awareness of the needs of people with learning and physical disabilities.
