Working Pattern
- 9.00 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. (possible flexibility)
Job Role
- Develops friendly and respectful relationships with Residents and their Relatives
- Enables Residents to maintain their well-being by ensuring that their social and leisure needs are met according to their individual care plans, habits, and lifestyles.
- Facilitates social & leisure activities and events in accordance with Residents’ preferences and hobbies
- Promotes ‘Whole Home Approach’ and inspires staff across the home to take the initiative in meaningful interactions with Residents.
- Leads and manages a team of Hospitality Assistants or Assistants Well-being Coordinators (if applicable).
Experience
We are looking for experience in some or all of the following areas:
Work Experience
- Customer service in leadership roles
- Organising small- and large-scale events or activities
- Some experience in leadership/mentoring/supervising role is an advantage
- Some experience of elderly care, dementia experience is an advantage
- Community volunteering
Skills and Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication
- Creativity, enthusiasm, patience, and empathy
- Good computer skills with experience of Microsoft Office
- Organising and coordinating skills
- Can adapt well to working independently and in a team
- Ability to use own initiative
Qualifications
- NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Psychology, Occupational Therapy background
- Activity Provision courses
- Events or Hospitality leadership courses
- Creative background such as fine arts, performing arts, design
