Responsibilities: Prepare and serve all food to ensure a balanced, nutritious diet for all Residents, maintaining high standards of hygiene in the kitchen. Work according to guidance from the Home Manager and as a team with the Registered Nurses to meet the needs and preferences of the Residents. Manage the performance of Kitchen staff.
Hours of Work: Full-time: 38.5 hours per week including weekends. Part-time: 42 scheduled hours per week (minus breaks).
Qualifications: Health and safety certificate. Food hygiene certificate. NVQ level 2 or 3 in Food Preparation and Cooking.
Work Experience: Previous experience of working in a kitchen is essential. Experience working to deadlines.
Skills And Abilities: Good verbal and written communication. Organising and coordinating skills. Ability to adapt well to working independently and in a team. Team leading abilities.
