CECOS College London is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and experienced Marketing & Recruitment Director to lead its UK-wide marketing and student recruitment initiatives. The role is crucial in shaping the College’s growth by attracting new students for the January, May, and September intakes each academic year. At CECOS College London, we are dedicated to delivering quality adult education and supporting our students at every stage of their journey. We’re excited to offer an exceptional opportunity for a Marketing Director to join our senior leadership team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll lead the national marketing strategy with the goal of attracting new students across our key intake periods (January, May, and September). You’ll spearhead campaigns that build our brand, enhance our visibility, and connect with diverse audiences across the UK. From attending job fairs, seminars, and educational events, to developing creative digital strategies — your role will be varied, impactful, and central to the College’s continued success.
As a leader, you’ll manage and inspire a UK-wide team of 4–5 marketing professionals, fostering collaboration, creativity, and performance. You’ll work closely with Admissions, Academic, and Student Support teams, ensuring that our marketing efforts align with student needs and institutional goals. You’ll also collaborate with Directors and the Principal to provide valuable market insight and help shape the College’s strategic direction. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Develop and implement a comprehensive national marketing strategy aligned with the College’s mission and growth objectives.
- Create and maintain a robust student recruitment pipeline for January, May, and September intakes each year.
- Provide market insights, SWOT analysis, and strategic advice to the Principal, Managing Director, and other senior leaders.
- Collaborate closely with the Directors and Principal to shape student recruitment policies and future campaigns.
Team Management
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team (4–5 members) across various UK regions.
- Set clear KPIs and performance targets for the team and monitor progress consistently.
- Promote a culture of excellence, transparency, and accountability.
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns to attract prospective students from across the UK and overseas.
- Represent CECOS at job fairs, open days, webinars, seminars, exhibitions, and community engagement events.
- Build partnerships with schools, colleges, educational consultants, and other institutions to drive awareness and student applications.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
- Work collaboratively with Admissions, Academics, and Student Support teams to ensure a seamless student journey.
- Act as a bridge between marketing and academic departments, ensuring messaging is aligned with course offerings and institutional strengths.
- Support internal departments in promoting new courses and academic events.
Data, Reporting & Transparency
- Design and manage dashboards and tracking systems to monitor campaign performance, lead conversions, and ROI.
- Present regular reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for growth.
- Ensure marketing spend is efficient and justified through transparent budgeting and analytics.
Role Criteria:
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior marketing role, ideally in higher or further education.
- Proven track record in leading successful student recruitment campaigns.
- Strong team leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to CECOS values.
- Competence in digital marketing tools, CRM systems, analytics platforms, and Microsoft Office suite.
- Existing network of educational agents and institutions. Strong community connect to attract prospective students across UK.
- Experience working across multicultural student populations.
- Flexibility to travel and attend events throughout the UK.
