We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Student Engagement Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for understanding the entry criteria of our courses, sourcing and recruiting direct referrals, supporting student referrals, and assisting with application processes, evidence submission, and financial applications. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth and effective recruitment process for our courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand Course Entry Criteria: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the entry requirements for various courses; stay updated on any changes to course criteria and communicate relevant information to prospective students and stakeholders.
- Source And Recruit Direct Referrals: Implement strategies to identify and engage potential candidates for the courses. Use various marketing channels to generate leads and recruit direct referrals to the courses. Develop and maintain relationships with industry contacts, educational agents, and other referral sources. Organise and attend outreach events to recruit appropriate applicants for courses. Develop links with Local Schools and Colleges to increase awareness of courses provided.
- Support Student Referrals: Assist current students and alumni in referring potential applicants to the courses. Provide guidance and support to students regarding the referral process and ensure their referrals are effectively managed.
- Application And Evidence Submission Support: Guide applicants through the application process, ensuring all required documents and evidence are submitted accurately and timely. Offer assistance with the preparation and submission of necessary documentation, including academic records, personal statements, and any other required evidence.
- Finance Application Support: Assist applicants with financial applications and provide information about available funding options, scholarships, and payment plans. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure that financial support requests are processed efficiently and accurately.
- Supporting Smooth Admission Process: Assist applications from agents in ensuring correct eligibility present for courses applied. Liaise with agents regarding applicants for interview.
- General Support: To support the team with inductions, recruitment events and office admin team, as required by management.
Criteria
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to explain processes clearly to applicants from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple applications and deadlines accurately.
- Confident use of IT systems, databases, and Microsoft Office.

- Knowledge of UK education pathways and funding options.
