Cecil Amey Opticians and Hearing Care are recruiting for a full time or part time Optical Assistant/Receptionist to join our team in Wymondham. Cecil Amey has a century-long history deeply embedded in the heart of East Anglia. From its modest beginnings, the business has evolved into a cherished family legacy, committed to being the premium independent optical and hearing care provider in the region. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing friendly team, in an exciting family-owned company.
The principal aspects of the Optical Assistant role are:
- Meet and greet patients and assist with enquiries.
- Take phone calls and manage appointments.
- Operate the cash till, cheques, and electronic payments.
- Maintain all required databases and records.
- Undertake minor adjustments or repairs to spectacles as required.
- Pre-screen patients: eye pressure check, visual field test and OCT.
- Good telephone manner, smart appearance and good interpersonal skills are a necessity.
- Previous optical receptionist experience would be valued.
