Our bar teams are the smiling faces serving up the drinks in any of our guest facing or service bars. Each bar is contained inside one of our gorgeous restaurant or floor spaces, each with its own distinct look, vibe, and menu to compliment it.

About The Ned: The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time. The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the bar manager and overseeing the bar daily operation you will:

  • Lead your team to prepare and serve up perfectly made drinks from our range of menus.
  • Lead our bar operations whenever the Bar Manager is not on duty, deputising and handling the day-to-day.
  • Support with all people leadership tasks - including team recruitment, development and performance chats, onboarding new starters.
  • Provide exceptional experiences on our guest service bars, along with recommendations and suggested drinks.
  • Speedily prepare orders on our service bars, keeping our waiters and runners stocked with the drinks they need.
  • Oversee a tidy, presentable, and slick operation.
  • Model behaviours, monitor standards, and provide coaching and feedback where needed.
  • Maintain a safe and clean bar environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm.

What you can bring to the role:

  • Previous bar supervisory or leadership experience with a proven track record of delivering outstanding drinks and people management.
  • High standards are essential as our customers and guests expect the best.
  • A commercial mindset is needed in all our leaders.
  • A desire to learn and progress is preferred, but not essential.
  • Great all-round drinks knowledge, ideally with experience in cocktails and/or wines.
  • A creative flair is always welcome.
  • The option to gain a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualification, and extensive bar training as part of our monthly learning calendar.
