This is an exciting opportunity to join Ceaton Security Services, a respected, family‑run business based in Cardiff and proudly part of the Senseco Group. With over 30 years of experience in the Automation, Fire & Security industry, we continue to grow and were looking for an experienced Security Systems Engineer to support our expanding client base across Wales.
In this role, you'll work with a wide range of modern security technologies, deliver high‑quality installations and commissioning work, and play a key part in keeping people, property, and organisations safe. What you will be doing
- Installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining a range of security systems
- Working with CCTV (IP and analogue), Intruder Detection, and Access Control systems
- Delivering high‑quality service on customer sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational
- Participating in the on‑call rota as part of the engineering team
- Occasionally carrying out maintenance, fault‑finding, repairs, and servicing
- Supporting the Security Manager and Service Manager with technical queries
A typical week might include
- Commissioning a new CCTV system for a commercial client
- Installing or upgrading access control systems across multiple sites
- Completing scheduled maintenance visits across South Wales
- Diagnosing and resolving system faults
- Providing technical support to customers and colleagues
Who we are looking for
We're looking for someone who brings strong technical ability, a positive attitude, and pride in delivering excellent work.
- Minimum 4 years experience in security system installation and commissioning
- Strong understanding of CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to complete and pass full security vetting
- Experience with maintenance, fault‑finding, and repairs
- Strong customer‑service approach and clear communication skills
