This is an exciting opportunity to join Ceaton Security Services, a respected, family-run business based in Cardiff and proudly part of the Senseco Group. With over 30 years of experience in the Automation, Fire & Security industry, we continue to grow and are looking for an experienced Fire Systems Engineer to help us deliver high-quality life-safety solutions across Wales. In this role, you'll work on a wide range of fire systems, support valued clients, and play a key part in keeping people and buildings safe. What you will be doing

  • Installing, commissioning, testing, and maintaining a range of fire detection and life-safety systems
  • Working with leading fire system technologies including Advanced, Hochiki, and Apollo
  • Supporting additional life-safety systems such as emergency lighting, nurse call, refuge systems, and warden call
  • Delivering high-quality service on customer sites, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and fully operational
  • Participating in the on-call rota as part of the wider engineering team
  • Occasionally carrying out fault finding, repairs, and servicing as required

A typical week might include:

  • Commissioning a new fire alarm system for a commercial client
  • Completing scheduled maintenance visits across South Wales
  • Testing and certifying emergency lighting systems
  • Supporting the Fire Manager and Service Manager with technical queries
  • Visiting customer sites to resolve faults or complete small remedial works

Who we are looking for

  • Minimum 4 years experience in fire system installation and commissioning
  • Strong understanding of fire detection systems and associated life-safety equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to complete and pass full security vetting
  • Experience with maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
  • Interest in developing skills in security systems
  • Strong customer-service approach and clear communication skills
