We are looking to expand our fabrication team at our Port Clarence facility. This role is subject to pre-employment checks, including BPSS security clearance and alcohol and drug screening, as part of Wilton Engineering's onboarding process. Due to the nature of work scopes, all applicants must be UK Nationals. All applicants should have completed a recognised apprenticeship.

Main Responsibilities

  • Reading & Interpreting Engineering drawings.
  • Measuring and marking out plates and sections for cutting.
  • Operating plate cutting machine where required and trained to do so.
  • Assembling steelwork in line with engineering drawings.
  • Maintaining material traceability during assembly.
  • Aligning and checking tolerances.
  • Tack welding fabricated parts together.
  • Guiding overhead cranes and hoists where trained for moving and assembling plates.
  • Working in confined space scopes where required.
  • Responsible for cable management, general good housekeeping in working area.
  • Working in line with strict adherence to Quality/Health & Safety Procedures and processes, and adherence to legislation.

Pay Rate And Working Hours

  • 37.5 hours per week basic plus OT
  • £22.56 per hour Dayshift
  • £27.07 per hour Backshift
  • £33.84 per hour Overtime 1 (Monday-Saturday first 4 hours)
  • £45.12 per hour Overtime 2 (Saturday post first 4 hours & Sunday)

Shifts

  • Dayshift: Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 15:00
  • Overtime currently working till 16:00 Monday-Thursday; 07:00-15:00 Saturday.
  • Circa £1,274 for 49 hours
  • Back shift: Monday to Wednesday from 15:30 to 01:30 (Thursday 01:00)
  • Overtime currently: Friday 15:30-23:30.
  • Circa £1,268 for 45 hours.
