This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the Parts Department. You will oversee parts operations, team leadership, inventory control, and customer support, while working closely with Service and Sales to support overall branch performance. While the role retains accountability for parts revenue and margin, the focus is on effective department management, customer experience, and continuous improvement rather than pure business development.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading and managing the Parts Department to ensure efficient, accurate and timely supply of parts
  • Overseeing parts operations including inventory management, stock control and ordering processes
  • Supporting and growing existing customer relationships through responsive service and solution-focused support
  • Ensuring pricing, quotes and orders are managed effectively in line with company guidelines
  • Working closely with Service and Sales teams to support machine sales, repairs and maintenance activities
  • Managing and developing the Parts team through coaching, training and performance support
  • Monitoring parts revenue, margins and key performance indicators
  • Analysing sales and stock data to inform purchasing and operational decisions
  • Maintaining high standards of customer service for internal and external customers
  • Ensuring compliance with WHS, company policies, and continuous improvement initiatives

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Strong experience in parts management, with a sound background in parts sales
  • Proven capability leading a parts team and managing day-to-day parts operations
  • Strong commercial acumen, with an understanding of parts pricing, margins and stock optimisation
  • Well-developed customer relationship skills, with confidence engaging with a range of stakeholders
  • Experience managing inventory, supply, ordering and stock control processes
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to inform decisions and improve performance
  • Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills
  • Industry experience in construction, agricultural or automotive parts
  • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft suite essential; e-commerce or ERP systems experience desirable)
