Academic excellence, integrity and innovation in education abroad are at the centre of CEA CAPA’s endeavours.

CEA CAPA is currently looking for suitably qualified individuals to join our faculty team in London to teach the following courses:

  • Human Rights in a Global Context: This course provides a multi-disciplinary introduction to human rights, critically examining the politics of human rights, their contentious nature and uneven global implementation. The focus is on practical issues and the contested politics of human rights in action through a range of topical case studies.
  • Introduction to Kinesiology: This course will provide students with an overview of Kinesiology through an interdisciplinary lens. Topics will cover the fundamental aspects of Exercise Physiology, Exercise Psychology, Physical Activity and Health, Biomechanics, and Movement Neuroscience.
  • Contemporary Issues in Law: Pre-Law International Immersion: This course combines experiential learning with academic analysis, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with the realities of legal practice in the host country while critically examining contemporary legal challenges.

The ideal candidates would have:

  • a PhD in hand or near completion (preferably), or a Master’s Degree in a relevant subject;
  • experience of teaching in a higher education environment, especially in working within the HE sector in the US and/or with American students abroad, particularly first year students;
  • a participative, flexible and creative approach to teaching and learning, including experiential learning;
  • evidence of positive student evaluations from prior teaching experiences;
  • a relevant publication record or academic interest in a relevant field;
  • highly developed facilitation and communication skills;
  • a willingness to contribute to course design and development;
  • previous experience with using Canvas or a similar LMS for teaching and learning.

Flexibility in scheduling is essential. Faculty are responsible for all aspects of course preparation, teaching and assessment, working closely with CEA CAPA Academic Management to track module progress and ensure quality. Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the UK. These are sessional fixed-term contracts for services and not employment. Candidates must be registered, or be able to register, as self‑employed in the UK.
