We are currently recruiting for an experienced Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at this fantastic independent café in Hammersmith. As Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef and senior kitchen team to support the day-to-day running of the kitchen, helping to deliver fresh, seasonal dishes while ensuring the highest standards are consistently maintained.

The Place

Our client is an independent neighbourhood café in Hammersmith, serving high-quality breakfast, brunch and lunch with a real focus on fresh, seasonal produce. The café offers a relaxed and welcoming environment with a strong local following. Open seven days a week, the kitchen delivers consistently excellent food using quality ingredients in a busy daytime setting, with selected evening service on Thursday, Friday and Saturday finishing at approximately 9pm.

The Person

  • Solid experience in a fresh food kitchen at Junior Sous Chef level or as an experienced Chef de Partie ready to step up
  • Experience supporting the running of a kitchen and leading a small team
  • Confidence working across all sections and supporting service
  • High standards of cleanliness, organisation, stock control, and food presentation
  • A good understanding of food safety and health & safety procedures
  • Flexibility to support daytime service and occasional early evening shifts
  • A positive, hands-on attitude with the ability to motivate and support the team
  • A true passion for fresh food and delivering great quality dishes
