We are currently looking for an experienced events venue manager. This role involves the coordination of events, supervision of venue staff, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences from inquiry to execution. Once associated with figures like Edward IV and Henry VIII, the beautiful manor has evolved into a premier venue for weddings, conferences, and special events. Set within 55 acres of picturesque grounds and surrounded by a moat, it offers a blend of traditional charm and modern amenities. The venue boasts over 11,000 square feet of flexible event space, including a permanent marquee accommodating up to 1,050 guests, making it suitable for large-scale events.
The Person
- Able to manage the day-to-day operations of all event venues, including conference rooms, ballrooms, banquet halls, and event spaces
- Experience in coordinating sales, catering, and marketing teams to drive bookings and maximize venue utilisation
- Must drive
- Oversee event planning, set-up, execution, and breakdown processes in alignment with client expectations
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by delivering prompt, professional, and personalised service to clients and guests
- Supervise and train venue staff, including event coordinators, setup crews, and AV technicians
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Monitor inventory and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and well-maintained
- 3-5 years in event management
