Deputy General Manager - Premium Dining Pub - Berkshire We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Deputy General Manager to join the team at a busy premium dining pub in Berkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded hospitality manager who enjoys being hands-on, leading from the floor and having a genuine impact on the performance of a business. As Deputy General Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager across the day-to-day operation, leading and developing the front-of-house team while also taking an active role in driving sales, controlling costs and identifying opportunities to grow the business. There is a strong focus on commercial performance alongside excellent hospitality, with the management team encouraged to contribute ideas, identify opportunities to increase revenue and play an active part in the continued growth of the business. The Person The successful Deputy General Manager will have: Previous experience as a Deputy General Manager, Assistant General Manager or strong Restaurant Manager within a quality restaurant or dining pub A proactive and commercially driven approach, with the ability to identify opportunities rather than simply manage the day-to-day operation A strong understanding of P&L, labour costs, margins, budgets and overall business performance A proven track record of increasing sales and revenue , with the ability to demonstrate tangible results from previous roles Strong commercial awareness and confidence analysing figures and using them to improve performance Experience managing a busy, food-led operation Strong food and beverage knowledge Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and develop a front-of-house team Confidence leading from the floor while maintaining a strong overview of the wider business A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ambition to progress within a growing independent hospitality business This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute hospitality manager who can demonstrate that they have grown sales, improved performance and positively impacted the P&L , while still being passionate about people, service and the guest experience.
