We are currently looking for an experienced and hands-on General Manager to lead the team at a well-established premium food retail business in North London. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong retail or hospitality operator to take ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy and successful operation, leading from the front across both the retail floor and food production areas.
Working closely with the senior leadership team, the successful General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the business, driving exceptional customer service, commercial success and operational excellence.

Person:
- Previous experience as a General Manager within food retail, delicatessen, bakery, café or a similar fresh food environment
- Strong commercial awareness with experience managing sales, labour costs, margins and profitability
- A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Experience overseeing recruitment, training, rotas and performance management
- Excellent customer service and operational management skills
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to perform under pressure
- Experience managing stock control, ordering, opening and closing procedures and compliance
- A sound understanding of food safety, allergen management and health & safety legislation
- A genuine passion for high-quality food and delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays in line with the needs of the business
