We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Gardener for a luxury 5-star hotel in Berkshire. As Gardener, you will play an integral role in maintaining the hotel's exceptional grounds to the highest standard throughout the seasons. From beautifully landscaped gardens and formal lawns to woodland, lakes and wildflower meadows, you'll help ensure every outdoor space reflects the luxury experience our guests expect. Working as part of the Estate team, you'll also support the upkeep of the polo centre and staff accommodation, using a variety of horticultural skills and garden machinery.

Set within stunning grounds, the property boasts award-winning gardens, a Michelin-starred restaurant, luxury spa, elegant brasserie and polo centre. The estate is renowned for its immaculate landscaping and offers a unique opportunity to work within one of the country's finest hotel environments.
The Person
The ideal Gardener will have:
- Previous experience in a professional gardening or horticultural role, ideally within a luxury hotel, private estate or public gardens
- Experience carrying out seasonal garden maintenance, including lawn care, hedge cutting and turf maintenance
- Good plant identification skills and a sound knowledge of trees, shrubs, herbaceous plants, bulbs, vegetables and annual planting
- Experience using a wide range of garden machinery, including mowers, strimmers, hedge trimmers and leaf blowers
- A recognised horticultural qualification such as an NCH (National Certificate in Horticulture) or National Diploma is desirable
- NPTC spraying certificates (PA1 and PA6) would be advantageous
- A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent attention to detail
- A friendly and approachable manner, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and guests
- Flexibility to support the wider estate team and adapt to operational requirements when needed
- A good understanding of health and safety practices and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
