Role Overview
We’re looking for a Payroll Project Support Specialist to work with me across global payroll migrations and transformation projects. You’ll support delivery, documentation, data preparation, meeting facilitation, risk management, and communication between clients, HRIS/payroll providers (such as Deel, Papaya, CloudPay, ADP), and internal teams. This isn’t a traditional payroll processing role — we want someone curious and analytical who enjoys digging into process, systems, data and communication. You will work across the full migration lifecycle and help shape the way we deliver projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Support & Delivery
- Support end-to-end payroll migration projects, from design to delivery.
- Prepare, review and manage data migration workbooks.
- Document current (“as-is”) and future (“to-be”) payroll processes.
- Lead and coordinate project meetings with clients and third parties.
- Manage risks, track issues, record decisions and ensure clear project communication.
- Translate technical requirements and ‘vendor speak’ into plain language for clients.
- Integration & System Work
- Support payroll and HR system integrations, collaborate with tech teams and understand requirements from HRIS/ERP systems.
- Bring clarity to complex technical discussions and help drive action.
- Stakeholders & Communication
- Act as a trusted partner to clients for project queries.
- Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring actions and outcomes are understood and executed correctly.
- Governance & GL
- Support general ledger (GL) understanding and documentation as part of migration and transformation deliverables.
Essential
- Solid payroll technical knowledge (UK or multi-jurisdictional).
- Comfortable with data — analysis, preparation and problem solving.
- Confident communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisation and project mindset — able to manage multiple priorities.
- Curious and quick to learn new technologies and payroll environments.
Desirable
- Experience with payroll bureau or outsourcing environments.
- Exposure to HR/Payroll systems like ADP, Workday, Oracle, SAP SuccessFactors.
- Some project support, transformation, or system implementation experience.
What We Offer
- Flexible, supportive environment with learning and growth opportunities.
- A chance to shape the role around your strengths and interests.
- Work across global projects with exposure to international payroll and systems.
Company Benefits
- 30 days holiday inc of BH
- Holiday Purchase Scheme
