Position: IT Infrastructure Project Manager – EMEA
Working Location: Warrington. (Onsite Mon to Friday)
Role Type: FTC – 5/6 months
Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and technically astute IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead and drive infrastructure initiatives across our organization. This role requires a self-starter who thrives on taking ownership, asking the right questions, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business goals.
You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end infrastructure projects—ranging from data center migrations and network upgrades to cloud transitions and hardware rollouts—while coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple IT infrastructure projects from initiation to completion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets; track progress and adjust as needed.
- Identify risks and proactively resolve issues to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate effective communication between technical teams, business units, and external partners.
- Ensure infrastructure solutions meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service delivery.
- Conduct post-project reviews and implement lessons learned.
- Provide an overview of the status of the project, including key milestones achieved, any deviations from the original plan, and the overall health of the project.
- Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 + years Project Management experience with a focus on IT project management.
- Proven experience managing IT infrastructure projects (e.g., networking, servers, storage, cloud, data centers).
- Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills; knows how to ask the right questions.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with third-party vendors and service providers.
- Solid waterfall project management skills
- Agile experience desirable
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proficient with tools like MS Project, ADO or other Project Management tools
