Job Summary
We are seeking a highly professional and dedicated Security and Incident Management Officer (SIMO) to join our expanding team, playing a vital role in safeguarding our secure facility, assets, and personnel.
The SIMO will maintain a strong visible presence on-site, acting as a deterrent to unlawful or inappropriate activity while ensuring the safety of CDW’s people and property. The successful candidate will actively uphold CDW’s values and commitment to a secure working environment—the CDW Way.
This role primarily involves providing physical security at the CDW UK Logistics and Technology Centre (LTC). Key responsibilities will include front-facing engagement during business hours, as well as remote CCTV monitoring for multiple CDW sites. The SIMO will also support incident management, including alarm response in coordination with our Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC), key holding duties, and escalation procedures—ensuring timely investigations and communication with emergency services when required.
What you will do
- Some Security and Visitor Reception duties during business hours
- Searches of individuals entering/exiting the operational area
- Observe and report any suspicious activities
- Assess risk of theft and feedback to leadership
- Booking in and out of delivery vehicles
- Liaising with LTC teams regarding collections and deliveries
- Control room duties out of hours
- CCTV monitoring and investigation
- Alarm, access and detection system monitoring
- Regular external Patrols of the LTC
- Maintaining Security documents
- Follow all security procedures
- Liaising with some keyholders and GSOC monitoring
- Incident management (including Security, fire & facilities)
- Provide feedback to onsite leadership about security and facilities
- ID checks on all visitors
- Administer First aid where required
