Overview: CDS Labour are currently recruiting for an experienced Sheet Metal Worker / TIG Welder to join a well-established, family-run fabrication business in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term role with a temp-to-perm pathway, working within a professional and supportive environment that values quality workmanship and experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out MIG and TIG welding
- Operating press brake and plasma cutting equipment
- Drilling, countersinking, and rolling sheet metal
- Reading and interpreting technical and fabrication drawings
- Working with stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel (1mm-10mm)
- Developing sheet metal patterns
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker / Fabricator
- Minimum 5 years experience preferred
- Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- Skilled, reliable, and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work as part of a team
Pay & Benefits:
- £14.00 - £18.00 per hour (DOE)
- Overtime paid at time and a half
