About the Role
We are currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (CE) Drivers for a leading chilled distribution operation based in Bognor Regis (PO22). This role involves the transportation of chilled products, including salads and plants, across the UK. The operation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering both day and night shift opportunities, with tramping available for drivers seeking additional earning potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Long-distance trunking and nationwide deliveries.
- Transporting chilled goods, including fresh produce and plants.
- Conducting vehicle checks and completing relevant paperwork.
- Ensuring goods are delivered safely, securely, and on time.
- Adhering to all Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport regulations.
- Maintaining excellent standards of professionalism and customer service.
- Following all company health and safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements:
- Essential:
- Valid HGV Class 1 (CE) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
- Professional, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.
- Ability to work days, nights, and weekends when required.
- Desirable:
- Previous experience within chilled distribution.
- Tramping experience.
- Experience with long-distance trunking operations.
