About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Nursery Production Supervisor to join a well-established nursery specialising in the production of Trees and Shrubs (Hardy Nursery Stock) .
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and hands-on individual with strong horticultural knowledge and supervisory experience. The successful candidate will lead a small production team while actively participating in the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of quality, productivity, and plant care.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support a small production team, leading by example in daily nursery operations.
- Carry out and oversee routine nursery tasks, including:
- Weeding
- Manual potting
- Pruning
- Training and tying plants
- Maintaining and monitoring irrigation systems
- Plan and coordinate daily production activities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate stock records using the company's in-house database.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the nursery in the absence of senior management.
