About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Delivery Driver to join a busy and fast-paced commercial laundry operation. This role combines delivery driving with manual handling duties and requires a reliable, hardworking individual who is comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering and collecting laundry from customer locations.
- Loading and unloading laundry bags and containers safely.
- Ensuring deliveries and collections are completed on time and professionally.
- Supporting the laundry operation when required.
- Monitoring equipment and machinery, reporting any issues promptly.
- Maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
Manual Handling Requirements
This is a physically active role involving regular lifting and moving of laundry bags. Examples include:
- Single collections or deliveries of up to 200 laundry bags weighing approximately 10-15kg each.
- Multiple daily delivery routes involving smaller quantities at various customer locations.
- Loading and unloading vehicles throughout the working day.
Candidate Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred.
- Good level of physical fitness.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
