CDS Labour are recruiting an experienced Warehouse Operative with a valid Counterbalance FLT licence for a busy and established business based at Walton Summit, Preston.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining general warehouse work with forklift duties. It offers ongoing employment and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Moving, stacking and storing goods within the warehouse
- Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
- Checking incoming and outgoing goods
- Carrying out general warehouse duties
- Keeping the warehouse clean, safe and organised
- Completing basic paperwork where required
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Assisting with other reasonable duties to support the operation
Requirements
To be considered, you must have:
- A valid Counterbalance FLT licence
- At least one year of Counterbalance forklift experience
- Previous general warehouse experience
- Good spoken and written English
- A reliable and hardworking approach
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good awareness of workplace health and safety
- Your own transport due to the workplace location and shift times
PPE and Dress Code
You will need:
- Safety boots
- High-visibility vest
- Sensible clothing suitable for a warehouse environment
