The Role

- HGV Class 1 Car Transporter Driver to join our client based in
- Doncaster (DN7)
. This is a fantastic temp-to-perm opportunity for a professional driver with previous car transporter experience using Rolfo, Belle or TE trailers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting up to
7 vehicles while maintaining the highest standards of safety, compliance, and customer service.
Essential Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) HGV Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous experience operating
Rolfo, Belle or TE car transporter trailers.
- Experience transporting up to
- 7 vehicles
- Willingness to tramp Monday to Thursday.
- Excellent understanding of DVSA regulations and Drivers' Hours legislation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to vehicle safety.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Load and unload vehicles safely using ramps and securing equipment.
- Inspect vehicles before collection and after delivery, recording any existing damage.
- Secure vehicles correctly to prevent movement during transit.
- Plan routes to ensure efficient and on-time deliveries.
- Complete delivery notes, inspection reports, and transport documentation accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Ensure compliance with DVSA regulations, tachograph rules, and Drivers' Hours legislation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and roadworthy vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with customers, dealerships, manufacturers, and the transport office.
- Deliver excellent customer service and obtain proof of delivery where required.
- Follow all company Health & Safety procedures.
- Report accidents, incidents, delays, or vehicle damage immediately.
- Drive efficiently while managing fuel consumption responsibly.
