An award-winning construction and reactive maintenance company is looking for an experienced Multi-Trades Joiner to join their repairs and maintenance team covering Carlisle and the wider Cumbria area. This is a varied role where joinery will be your main trade, supported by your ability to carry out additional basic repair and maintenance work. You will be working across customers' homes, businesses and other properties, so every day will be different.
The Role
- Carrying out high-quality repairs, maintenance and improvement works, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
- Carrying out general joinery repairs and maintenance.
- Completing multi-trade repairs where required.
- Diagnosing issues and identifying appropriate repair solutions.
- Keeping jobs on track and completing works within agreed timescales.
- Ensuring work is completed right first time.
- Maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer service.
- Working closely with colleagues and other trades.
- Maintaining accurate job records using company-provided technology.
About You
The ideal candidate will be an experienced joiner with a strong background in repairs and maintenance. You should have:
- Previous experience working as a Joiner within the building/construction industry.
- Experience working for a social landlord, housing association or local authority would be advantageous.
- Experience carrying out multi-trade repairs and maintenance.
- Basic plumbing skills.
- Basic plaster patching skills.
- Basic wall tiling skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- The ability to manage your own workload and keep jobs on track.
- A strong focus on quality and completing work efficiently.
- A positive, can-do attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
As you'll regularly be working in customers' homes and businesses, you'll need to be professional, friendly, approachable and respectful.
