CDS Labour are recruiting reliable Potato Grading Operatives to support a busy agricultural business based near South Milford.
This is a full-time temporary opportunity lasting approximately eight weeks. The work is practical and repetitive, so it is best suited to candidates who are comfortable working on their feet for long shifts.
The Role Your duties will include:
Grading and sorting potatoes according to quality and size
Removing damaged or unsuitable produce from the grading line
Inspecting potatoes carefully to maintain quality standards
Packing and preparing produce where required
Keeping the production and grading areas clean and organised
Following hygiene, health and safety procedures
Working efficiently as part of the production team
Completing other general agricultural or production duties as required
About You We are looking for candidates who are:
Reliable, punctual and hardworking
Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work
Able to stand for extended periods
Physically fit and comfortable working 12-hour shifts
Able to maintain concentration and attention to detail
Happy to work in an agricultural production environment
Able to work well as part of a team
Available for the full eight-week assignment
Able to travel to the workplace using their own transport
Previous experience in agricultural work, vegetable grading, food production, packing or warehouse work would be beneficial but is not essential, as an on-site induction will be provided.
Working Conditions Candidates must provide:
Safety boots
High-visibility vest
Protective gloves
Breaks include two paid 15-minute breaks and one unpaid 30-minute break .
