An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Ofsted Registered Manager to lead a brand-new 4/5-bed Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) Children's Home in Burntwood. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new service from the very beginning. As the founding Registered Manager, you will play a pivotal role in creating a positive culture, building a high-performing team, and delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
Working within an established and growing residential care organisation, you will receive ongoing support from an experienced and highly visible Responsible Individual, providing guidance throughout registration, opening, and operational delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the day-to-day operation of the children's home in line with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Lead the registration process and prepare the service for opening.
- Drive continuous improvement through audits, quality assurance processes, Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 requirements.
- Monitor incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and performance outcomes.
- Develop and implement care plans that promote children's emotional, physical, social, and educational development.
- Recruit, induct, supervise, mentor, and develop staff to deliver exceptional care.
- Ensure staffing levels, training, and resources meet regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with local authorities, social workers, families, and external professionals.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure all administrative and compliance requirements are met.
- Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and child-centred practice at all times.
- Competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum

- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Recognised childcare qualification relevant to residential childcare.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working within a residential childcare setting.
- Minimum 1 year's experience in a management role within children's residential care.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Quality Standards, and safeguarding legislation.
- Proven leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Passionate about improving outcomes for children and young people.
