CSCS Labourer
Location - East Drayton
Job DeScription:
My client based near Tuxford are seeking a reliable and physically fit CSCS Labourer/Ground worker with experience of working with concrete to join their construction team.
They specialise in the construction of high quality concrete storage solutions for the agricultural, water, industrial and renewable energy sectors.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting various site activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining an organised work environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience within the construction industry and develop their skills on diverse projects. The role involves working under the supervision of site managers and collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve project goals efficiently.
This is a temp to perm position to start asap.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS JOB WILL INVOLVE WORKING AWAY MONDAY TO FRIDAY.
ALL HOTEL AND FOOD EXPENSES ARE PAID FOR.
Responsibilities
Assisting with general site clearance, including removing debris and waste materials
Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment as required
Supporting skilled tradespeople by preparing work areas and handling basic tasks
Use of hand held power tools
Maintaining health and safety standards at all times, including adhering to site protocols
Assisting with the organisation of materials and ensuring tools are stored securely when not in use
Moving materials around the site using manual handling techniques or machinery where qualified
Ensuring the work area is kept clean, tidy, and safe throughout the shift
Supporting other labouring duties as directed by supervisors to facilitate smooth project progression
Qualifications
Valid CSCS card is essential for this role
Previous experience of working with concrete is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates
Good physical fitness with the ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods
Strong awareness of health and safety regulations within a construction environment
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn new skills
Basic understanding of site safety procedures and protocols
Applicants MUST be prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday.
DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE AS YOU WOULD BE DRIVING COMPANY VANS. xiskglj
Pay rate £14.00 per hour.
Overtime paid at £18.62 per hour over 40 hours and on Saturdays
Sundays and Bank Holidays £21.00 per hour
