Job Description Farm Assistant / Assistant Farm Manager - Poultry\n Location: East Kirkby, Spilsby (PE23) \n Salary: £33,200 per annum Hours: working on a rota across Monday to Sunday Contract: Permanent, full-time \n CDS Labour are recruiting for a reliable and motivated Farm Assistant / Assistant Farm Manager to join a well-established poultry farming business. \n This is a hands-on position supporting the Farm Manager with the daily running of broiler farms. It offers a great opportunity for someone with poultry, livestock or agricultural experience who would like to develop their farm management skills. Key responsibilities\n \n Supporting the Farm Manager with daily farm operations \n Completing daily husbandry duties and maintaining high bird welfare standards \n Monitoring feeding, watering, heating, lighting and ventilation systems \n Assisting with vaccinations, bird weighing, catching and collection \n Keeping accurate records of birds, feed, treatments, supplies and farm activities \n Following strict biosecurity, hygiene and sanitation procedures \n Carrying out basic fault-finding and minor repairs when safe to do so \n Maintaining excellent housekeeping across poultry houses, roadways and surrounding areas \n Monitoring flock performance and reporting any concerns \n Supporting farm security and receiving authorised visitors \n Providing alarm and out-of-hours cover when required \n What we're looking for\n \n Previous experience within poultry, livestock, hatchery or farming \n A full UK driving licence - essential \n A strong commitment to animal welfare \n Ability to work independently and as part of a team \n Basic mechanical or technical skills \n Understanding of biosecurity and hygiene standards \n A flexible, responsible and dependable approach \n Willingness to learn and develop within farm management \n Important biosecurity requirement\n Due to strict biosecurity regulations, applicants must not have any contact or involvement outside work with other birds, including domestic poultry or caged birds. n This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with an established agricultural business, receive practical development and build a long-term career within poultry farm management. \n CDS Labour is acting as a recruitment agency for this permanent position. \
