About the Role
We are currently recruiting professional and reliable HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Drivers for a well-established chilled logistics operation based in Walberton, PO22. This role involves the transportation of chilled products, including fresh salads and plants, to distribution centres and customer locations nationwide. The operation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, offering ongoing work and tramping opportunities for drivers seeking additional earnings.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out long-distance trunking and nationwide deliveries.
- Transporting chilled products safely and efficiently.
- Completing vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
- Ensuring deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with customer requirements.
- Maintaining accurate tachograph records and complying with driver hours legislation.
- Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Representing the business professionally at all times.
Candidate Requirements
Essential- Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Good understanding of Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations.
- Professional and reliable approach to work.
- Ability to work night shifts and occasional weekends.
- Previous chilled distribution experience.
- Long-distance trunking experience.
