About the Role: We are recruiting for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join a growing third-generation family business. Reporting directly to the Operations Director, you will take full responsibility for the site's Health & Safety function, ensuring legal compliance while promoting a strong safety culture across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all Health & Safety activities on site
- Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Investigate accidents and implement preventative actions
- Deliver H&S training, inductions, and toolbox talks
- Maintain statutory inspections and compliance records
- Develop and update policies, procedures, and Safe Operating Procedures
- Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings
- Monitor H&S KPIs and drive continuous improvement
Essential Requirements:
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Previous Health & Safety management experience
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Good IT skills
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
Desirable:
- NEBOSH Diploma
- IOSH Membership
- Food manufacturing or production environment experience
