CDS Labour is recruiting on behalf of a well-established, independent family-run foodservice wholesaler supplying fresh, chilled, frozen, grocery, and non-food products to hospitality businesses across the UK. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to join the transport team in Colchester (CO4). This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, with permanent employment offered after 12 successful weeks.
The Role
- As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for completing multi-drop deliveries of foodservice products to a variety of customers, including:
- Restaurants
- Pubs
- Schools
- Care homes
- Other hospitality businesses
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle on planned delivery routes
- Complete multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently
- Load and unload goods using the appropriate equipment
- Deliver orders accurately and on time
- Provide excellent customer service at every delivery
- Complete daily vehicle checks and comply with all driver regulations
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
- Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous multi-drop delivery experience preferred
- Good communication and customer service skills
- A positive, reliable attitude with a strong work ethic
- Must meet the company's insurance criteria (licence check required before interview)
