CDS Labour are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturing and distribution business based in Roche, Cornwall. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Counterbalance FLT Driver. This is a varied role offering long-term work with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
The Role
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
- Loading and unloading products.
- Moving stock and materials between production and dispatch areas.
- Supporting production when required.
- Heavy manual handling as part of daily duties.
- Cold food production and warehouse environment.
- Full PPE provided/required (safety boots, gloves, coat, etc.).
- Typical shifts are 6:00am - 4:00pm.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and experience.
- Good level of spoken and written English.
- Experience with stock control, paperwork or dispatch operations.
- Ability to undertake manual handling and work in a cold environment.
Desirable:
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred for combined FLT/Van Driver role).
- Previous experience within food production, warehouse or distribution.
- Flexible approach and willingness to support different departments.
