Ofsted Registered Manager for a Children's Residential Home. Start Date: ASAP.
We are seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Ofsted Registered Manager to lead our brand-new, fully furnished 3-bed EBD Children's Residential Home in Walsall. This is an exciting opportunity to establish and shape a new service from the ground up, creating a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
You will play a key role in:
- Overseeing the day-to-day management and operation of the children's home.
- Ensuring full compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
- Leading quality assurance processes, including Regulation 44 and Regulation 45 requirements, audits, action plans, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitoring incidents, complaints, safeguarding concerns, and children's outcomes.
- Developing and implementing care programmes that support children's emotional, educational, physical, and social development.
- Recruiting, inducting, supervising, mentoring, and developing staff to deliver exceptional care.
- Ensuring staffing levels, training compliance, and best practice standards are maintained.
- Building positive relationships with families, social workers, local authorities, and external professionals.
- Promoting safeguarding and child-centred practice at all times.
Qualifications required:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Recognised childcare qualification relevant to residential childcare.
- Minimum 2 years' experience within a residential childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding legislation, and residential childcare standards.
- Commitment to delivering outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.
Competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000, with additional benefits including:
