This is an excellent opportunity for a junior or entry-level Systems Engineer to develop their skills within a strong, well-established team. The role focuses on supporting the stable operation of the organisation's infrastructure by maintaining, deploying, supporting, and optimising key functional areas, as well as resolving support requests in a timely and accurate manner. The successful candidate will benefit from coaching and mentoring while also contributing recommendations and guidance on future architectural and technology improvements that impact business performance and costs.
Essential:
- Strong technical mindset with a desire to learn
- An eye for detail
- The ability to work unsupervised with strong self-motivation
- A strong understanding of Windows 11
- A working knowledge of PC hardware and networking components
- Knowledge of helpdesk procedures
- Ability to diagnose and resolve software, hardware, networking and OS issues
Desirable:
- Approximately 1 year IT support experience or a related educational qualification
- Driving Licence
- Experience with ITIL, PCI and GDPR
- Experience with Firewalls
- Experience with virtualization platforms
- Experience using SIEM platforms
- Experience with EDR and vulnerability scanning
- Knowledge of Windows Servers and Azure Cloud
- Programming experience with PowerShell, C# and/or Python for scripting and automation
