CDP is a global non-profit that runs the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system. As the founder of environmental reporting, we believe in transparency and the power of data to drive change. Partnering with leaders in enterprise, capital, policy and science, we surface the information needed to enable Earth-positive decisions. We helped more than 24,800 companies and almost 1,000 cities, states and regions disclose their environmental impacts in 2024. Financial institutions with more than a quarter of the world’s institutional assets use CDP data to help inform investment and lending decisions.

Our team is truly global, united by our shared desire to build a world where people, planet and profit are balanced.

The Product team defines the product roadmap, prioritisation and requirements for their product or product portfolio. We work very closely with Data and Engineering to deliver the Products using an agile framework.

The Senior Content Designer will be responsible for creating content for the CDP Portal and other digital touch points for both internal and external users. This role will work closely with designers, engineers, marketing, questionnaire and translation teams. This role will support consistent content across the business, high-quality multilingual customer experiences, and product adoption among key stakeholders.

What you will do:

  • Prioritise when, where and how to support cross-functional squads across multiple work streams.
  • Deliver content and ensure engineers have what they need to implement it.
  • Enhance our users' experiences through user testing and evidence-based improvements.
  • Align with other content-producing functions (our marketing and questionnaire teams) to create clear, concise, complete and consistent content across the business.
  • Work with translators to ensure customers have the same great experience across the eight languages we operate in.
  • Help the business simplify how we talk about climate change science and our methodology by testing content with real users and supporting teams to adapt their communication based on your findings.
  • Support adoption of the product among key stakeholders through coordinating communications, training sessions, documentation, and support.
  • Actively contribute to an effective and engaged team, clear on its purpose and contribution.

We're looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Content Designer.
  • Experience testing with real users to check how our ideas work in practice.
  • Coaching and teaching others to upskill them in content design to make better choices themselves.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels.
  • Knowledge, interest, and passion for the environmental and/or sustainability space will be an advantage.

Salary and benefits:

The salary banding for this role is £53,600 - £67,000/year, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non-contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits.

This is a fixed term role for 12 months (maternity cover) based at CDP’s London office. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
