Ambrose® is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services. With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.
Working in our School Age Care team you will be able to inspire and empower children through engaging lessons and personalised support. Make a difference in young lives by fostering a love for learning and cultivating essential skills for success.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planning and organisation of the Before and After School Hours Care and Vacation Care services
- Participating in and contributing to the day-to-day operations of the centre and the centre programs
- Working with other staff members as a team to provide consistent and quality childcare in a friendly, welcoming and caring environment where students can develop and learn through play
- Develop strong partnerships with families and the community
Our Services operate between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with split shifts organised to give you flexibility during the middle of day.
Skills And Experiences Qualifications
- Certificate III or Diploma in Children’s Services or working towards one of these qualifications is highly desirable
- Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
- Valid Child Safety Training Certification
- First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis Certification
- Valid Working Rights in Australia
Experience
- Relevant work experience in an approved early years education and care service
- Knowledge and understanding of the National Quality Standards
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework and My Time, Our Place
- Understanding and knowledge of child and brain development theory
- Understanding of the Education and Care Services National Law Act 2010
- Understanding of the Education and Care Services Regulations 2011
