Ambrose is a not-for-profit social enterprise providing Early Years Learning and School Age Care services. With a team of 550 employees and growing, we currently operate over 50 school age care and early years education services across Catholic schools in the Greater Western Sydney and the Blue Mountains region.

Working in our School Age Care team, you will be joining at a time of growth and creating innovative programs within the approved learning framework "My Time, Our Place". With a focus on operating a quality service and a caring workplace, no two days are ever the same.

Responsibilities:
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships that support and partner with families, school principals and the community.
  • Supporting the leading and embedding of continuous improvement in all areas of the service's operations.
  • Educational leadership, including reviewing programming and activities.
  • Ensuring that a program delivered is based on, and in a manner aligned with the My Time Our Place framework.
  • Assisting the Quality Improvement Plans (QIP) and Strategic Inclusion Plans (SIP) and self-assessments ensuring they are actioned effectively within each service.
  • Leading, mentoring, and supporting service team members to ensure they provide high-quality early learning and care that meets or exceeds the National Quality Standards.

Our Service operates between 6.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday, with split shifts organised to give you flexibility during the middle of the day.

Skills And Experiences:
  • Qualifications: Certificate III in Children's Services / Certificate IV School Age Care or a relevant discipline is preferred; however, a substantial amount of experience may be sufficient.
  • Valid Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
  • First Aid/CPR/Anaphylaxis Certification.
  • Valid Working Rights in Australia.
  • Experience: Substantial experience working with children and families in primary school age care.
  • Experience as a responsible person within a similar service.
  • Experience in effectively coaching, supporting and mentoring educators in areas of quality of care and professional conduct.
