About the Team

Disclosure Content is responsible for the strategic development, maintenance, and delivery of CDP’s disclosure framework (question bank, reporting guidance, and scoring). The framework provides environmental information to investors, customers, and other data users, and drives companies’ actions to transition to a sustainable economy. Within Disclosure Content, the Strategic Evolution team develops CDP’s disclosure framework in response to strategic projects, standard and framework alignment, and other evolving needs of the organisation. We work closely with other teams and functions to implement environmental reporting best practices and pioneer new areas of environmental disclosure.

About this role

This role will provide technical, scientific, and analytical expertise to develop and ensure the high quality of CDP’s disclosure framework, and drive corporate environmental disclosure and action, on both corporate disclosure and cities, states and regions (CStaR). This includes the CDP question bank, reporting guidance, scoring methodologies and resulting data.

What you will do

• Contribute to the development of the question bank, reporting guidance and scoring methodologies across environmental disclosure for corporate and CStaR.
• Prioritise data points and metrics from relevant sustainability standards and frameworks and translate these into developments for the evolution of CDP’s corporate question bank and reporting guidance.
• Analyse response data, conduct desk‑based research and draft and proofread technical documents.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise and analytical support across CDP’s broader activities, including contributing to funded projects, publications, consultations and engagement events.
• Deliver internal presentations and webinars.
• Support the planning, implementation and optimisation of processes for the evolution and delivery of CDP’s question bank, guidance and scoring methodologies.
• Author, edit and test questions and guidance content in CDP’s online disclosure systems.
• Align processes and content development between corporate and CStaR question banks and reporting guidance and scoring.
• Act as an actively engaged team member, contributing to a clear purpose and collaboration.

• Scoring, Thought Leadership, Data, and Customer Success Teams.

External stakeholders

• Disclosing organisations, NGO partners, standards and framework setters and data users.

We're looking for

• A relevant academic qualification.
• Professional experience in environmental issues.
• Technical expertise in corporate environmental disclosure.
• A demonstrable understanding of the global sustainability agenda and of environmental‑related risks, opportunities, impacts and dependencies for companies and the public sector.
• Ability to design, implement and refine operational processes to drive efficiency.
• A high standard of written English and ability to present complex information simply and concisely.
• Excellent research, analytical skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to organise and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
• High motivation with a confident and collaborative working style.
• Strong time‑management and organisational skills, and ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure.
• Ability to work efficiently with team members from diverse technical and cultural backgrounds.

Salary and benefits

The salary is £32,157 – £40,197 per year, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non‑contributory pension provision, employee assistance programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits. Final offer depends on experience, expertise, geography, total compensation and market data.

Employment details

This is a permanent contract based at CDP’s London office. Applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK, live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with two days in the office per week. CDP cannot sponsor this role.
