About the Team: The Scoring Team carries out the scoring of thousands of companies, cities, states, and regions on their environmental disclosures to CDP each year. Through scoring, we seek to incentivize measurement and management of environmental impact, the goal to drive positive changes and drive the world to environmental transition and a sustainable economy that works for all.
About this role: Technical Leads in the Scoring team utilise their technical skills to ensure fast and accurate scoring automation technologies at CDP that can score thousands of responders each year.
What you will do:
- Support annual development of scoring automation code base
- Support development of Python tools to streamline business processes across the scoring team
- Attend and contribute to daily stand-ups in agile scrum team
- Support wider scoring technology improvements through analysis of previous years components, and scoping future requirements
- Supporting ad-hoc projects to support the wider scoring team
We’re looking for:
- Passion for the environment and the aims of CDP
- Experience in Python programming
- Strong understanding of the software design/architecture process
- Experience with SQL and ORM with tools like SQLAlchemy or SQLModel
- Experience in tools such as Git, Docker and shell scripting
- Experience in unit testing, logging and documentation
- Experience working in an agile team
- Experience in communicating with business owners/business side
- Experience in services in cloud environments (preferably Azure)
- Experience with rule-based engines
- Experience with complex questionnaire design and data
- Experience with NoSQL databases e.g. MongoDB
- Experience with JSONS for storing and transporting data
This is a hybrid role requiring weekly time in the office, candidates will need to live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week.
