About the Team
The Data Governance and Quality team is responsible for developing and implementing policies, standards, and guidance to measure and improve the quality of CDP’s data. We establish clear standards and definitions, embed governance and quality principles into system design, and provide training and support to staff. This ensures CDP’s data is fit for purpose, accurate and trusted to support high‑quality products and deliver its mission with greater impact.
About this role
The Data Quality Specialist will help improve CDP’s data by supporting the development and implementation of data quality processes and reporting. This role focuses on promoting good data practices and helping teams improve data quality. Key tasks include:
- Contributing to data quality priorities
- Supporting improvement plans
- Helping to create Power BI dashboards to visualise and report data quality improvements
- Performing data analysis
- Supporting stakeholders in identifying and resolving data quality issues
What you will do
- Support the development of methodologies and best practices to measure data quality across the CDP
- Support and develop data cleansing solutions to address quality issues
- Help develop and operationalise dashboards to monitor data improvement
- Work with colleagues to define data quality metrics and reporting to resolve issues
- Help develop and maintain data quality reports to support improvements in specific data domains
- Along with the team, promote a data‑first attitude toward data quality and governance across CDP

Internal stakeholders include CDP Data Owners, Stewards, Custodians and Users. External stakeholders include CDP Disclosers, Requesters, Data Users, and other customers.
We're looking for:
- Previous experience working in Data Science or Data Analytics, ideally with a focus on data quality
- High coding capabilities in SQL
- Ability to present technical content to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of applying data quality approaches to resolve issues
- Exposure to Power BI or similar tools, used to communicate findings
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong English language skills, including good reading comprehension skills
- A proactive team‑player
Desirable:
- Second language skill
- Experience of working within global organisations
- Experience with Python
- Experience working according to agile project/product management
Salary and benefits
The salary banding for this role is £32,157 - £40,197 per year, 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, generous non‑contributory pension provision, Employee Assistance Programme, life assurance, training and development, flexible working opportunities and other benefits. Final offer amount depends on multiple factors such as candidates experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. This is a permanent contract based at CDP’s London office. Interested applicants must be eligible to work legally in the UK and live within a commutable distance of the London office and be comfortable with 2 days in the office per week. We cannot sponsor this role.
